Fact: Many of your website’s visitors will click the logo at the top of your website, assuming that doing so will return them to your homepage.

Therefore (and Obviously): Make sure your logo links to your website’s homepage.

One Big Exception: Make sure the logo that sits on your homepage IS NOT a clickable link. A link to your homepage that actually exists on your homepage will do nothing more than re-open/refresh the page upon click. That’s confusing.

Implementing this one easy tip increases the usability and user-friendliness of your site while decreasing the potential for visitor frustration related to clicking non-clickable elements.
